Gilead Sciences and the Unsettling Connection to Transhumanism

What does a treatment for covid, the popular tv show, ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’, and the Bible have in common besides things to do while quarantined? How about a heap of stones, namely Gilead?

Gilead. An American biopharmaceutical company known for its covid 19 drug remdesivir is one of the few pharmaceutical companies with a name that has been known for ages. First and foremost, it was named after a Biblical region east of the Jordan that was part of the territories given over to the tribe of Manasseh. The origin of the name is found in Genesis 31 where Jacob and Laban (Jacob’s father-in-law) made a covenant not to cross the ‘heap of stones’ they built. In this covenant, Jacob agreed not to afflict his wives or marry anyone outside of them and for the family to be at peace with one another. That heap of stones is where Gilead gets its name from the Hebrew language.
