So we start the new year (IRL) with a quick and easy task for Capt. Avery, followed by some snooping in town outside of the dock, where we encounter the mysterious floating Skull of density. We fast travel up to Dalton Farm, where Codsworth decides to have a little heart to metal heart chat with us, before heading down to the tannery. After not gunning down Machete Mike, we make a quick pass by the Drive in, before returning to the Dock to see Judge Alan Lee pass judgement on a Child of Atom (I so very wanted to put one between his eyes, but I practiced restraint that Alan Lee doesn't have). We give the mariner her tools, get invited to the Captain's Dance, and finally end up at Longfellow's Cabin, where we do a little settlement work to make it a bit more comfortable.
