Dallas Police said "uninvolved party shot one of the suspects while they attempted to carjack the victim. The victim was threatened and shot at with a short-barreled rifle."

According to the police, the suspect is in stable condition at a hospital.

Police are hunting for two individuals who allegedly fled the scene of a failed carjacking attempt on Friday night after one suspect was shot.

A busy commercial area with restaurants, salons, a grocery store, and many other businesses was the scene of the shooting shortly after 6:30 p.m.

According to the police, the shooting occurred during a carjacking attempt.
