Springfield Prodigy: Should YOU fix it?

You just bought a Springfield Armory Prodigy (or any gun) and something is wrong. Now the age old question rears it's ugly head...Should you send it in for warranty work or should you fix it? There are Pros and Cons that you must consider and depending on how you feel or what you put the most value in will determine which way you go.
