It is important to take ownership of your own identity and not allow others to dictate who you are. When you allow others to choose your identity for you, you risk losing a sense of self and may end up feeling unfulfilled and unhappy. This New Year, it is essential to be true to yourself and make decisions that align with your own values and beliefs, but most importantly yourself. When you are in control of your own identity, you can live a more authentic and fulfilling life, and all of a sudden all the white noise of others isn't so loud. Ultimately, happiness comes from within and can only be found when you are in touch with yourself and not trying to be someone you are not. And you can't do that when you are allowing others to direct your and write your story.

It is important to own your body because it is the vessel that allows you to experience the world and all it has to offer. It has more of a purpise than catering to every single individual who happens to lay eyes upon it, and vidate their idea of beauty. When you feel comfortable and confident in your own skin, it can have a positive impact on your mental well-being and overall quality of life. It's hard to make friends with yourself in that way, but you are worth it.
