Programmer explains why Logan Paul's CryptoZoo isn't really a game

Here’s whyLogan Paul’s Cryptozoo game isn’t really a game.
So first of all you buy eggs that you then hatch and you get 1 of 16 base animals that you can then breed into hybrids.
There’s nothing really unique here, what would be really cool is if you could then bread hybrids on and on and on.
So you’d get truly unique animals but they can’t do that because everything is “handmade” and there would be way too many variations.
It would need to be done with procedural generation, kind of like Minecraft generates unique worlds instead of just having a few handmade ones.
And then there would need to be actual utility, for instance my AWP doesn’t cost over $500 because it’s just a cool image.
But because I can also use it in a very popular game, so for instance they would need to make some sort of a zoo game to use these things in.
