🌍 Soul journey ❤️ Croatia: Varaždin

Hello my Beloved!

Today we are going to visit such a lovely city Varaždin!

I was having day off and girlfriend just called me and said: “Are we going to nearest city in Craotia?”

There is so beautiful magnificent castle. And of course I was totally for it! I had some other plans, but when she mentioned this beautiful city, I knew, I wanted to go immediately.

We went through Ptuj. There is modern Puch bridge (Slovene: Puhov most) over Drava river near lake Ptuj. It was built in 2007. There is opening view to castle Ptuj. But that is already another road trip, soul journey…

Near the lake Ptuj is amazing coffee shop Ranca with the best view. You have to go there when sun is setting. It’s just amazing. All the swans and river seagulls and beautiful play of sunlight and water is just unforgettable! It’s perfect for long walks and of course coffee!

Further on the road was this stoning medieval castle Borl above the banks. It was built in 12th century. They are renovating it now. And I hope, that is going to be open fur public. I went there before and castle is breath taking. I was so disappointed that was closed. I expected at list coffee shop there. But maybe there is now going to be one!

We were so fast in Varaždin. We parked near the castle. It wasn’t my first time there. I was maybe three times before… but today I have time only for visit castle. I have to go one more time. Everything was in blossom. Pure white and pink color! The old town was simply gorgeous. It was no surprise to me, to learn that this stoning cute old town, was ones the capital of Croatia.

I totally recommend visiting it! It’s so lovely city. I’m sourly going back!
