The World Health Organization (WHO) declared on Wednesday that data released by China regarding the coronavirus pandemic is substantially lower than what is believed to be the "true impact" of the virus, with particular regard to fatalities. The WHO stated that the reporting and recording of deaths linked to COVID-19 is "certainly" incomplete. It went on to say that the way in which the fatalities are being classified is too restrictive, as it only takes into account fatalities as a result of respiratory failure.
