Dr. Adam Lowther is an expert in nuclear deterrence and the nuclear programs of Russia and China. He writes prolifically on nuclear deterrence and threats to the United States. He previously served as Director of the US Air Force’s School of Advanced Nuclear Deterrence Studies at Kirtland AFB. His family was devastated in August 2017 when Betty Duboise, a known convict and his daughter’s kindergarten teacher, falsely claimed his daughter told Duboise she was being raped. Duboise’s false allegation led to a year long ordeal that led to the loss of Adam’s Air Force career, more than $350,000 is legal fees, and numerous death threats to himself and his wife. Charges were dismissed in 2018 and the state of New Mexico has expunged the arrest, but the Lowther family remains traumatized as it seeks to hold Calvary Christian Academy, the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office, and the Children’s Youth and Family Department accountable for their criminal conduct.
