Based on the story by Robert A. Heinlein. A population of humans learn the true purpose of the universe.

Though not the first science fiction radio series, the series had a strong standing in the science fiction community. Many stories were based off famous science fiction authors at the time. The series ran from 1950 to 1951, then later was reborn as X Minus One.
