Note: Alright, so I knew beforehand about things like platforms and rails abruptly popping in and out based on how close you got rather than fading in and out. Don't know if it's just me, but it didn't seem that obvious on Kronos Island. Here though, it seems more glaring, and it does look tacky. Thought that got patched out, but I guess I spoke too soon.
