Get Over it or Stay Under it | Predestination

Every aspect our identify must be integrated or abandoned.

All of our experiences, everything that we decide to carry forward as part of our history serves as either constructive, harmonious, melody or destructive, destructive noise to the patterns, the songs, that constitute our lives as individuals.

There is no way to take any aspect of our identity neutrally.

They must always serve some purpose towards our lives as a whole.

We can try to rely on the larger symphony, the contributions of other members of our communities and groups to harmonize our own identities.

But ultimately, we have control over our individual patterns and can only expect the greater symphony to take advantage of our individual distortions at our own expense.

At every moment we are updating our individual songs and reevaluating aspects of our identities in perspective with new notes and new phrases.

And we can always choose to take something as a new harmony in our individual compositions.

But nothing changes until we make that decision.

Distortion will accumulate just as easily as cohesion will create new opportunities to harmonize a greater variety of notes.
