בבייג'ינג הרשויות מקימות משרפות מאולתרות לשירותי הלוויות. זאת, על רקע התפרצות הקורונה ולפי אחד מאתרי הדרושים הגדולים ביותר בסין, כרגע ישנן יותר מ-1,000 משרות חדשות להנדסאי עיצוב משרפות. (לא ברור אם כל המשרפות האלה משמשות לשריפת גופות של בני אדם).
אך באופן רשמי מדווחות רשויות הבריאות של סין על מקרי מוות בודדים בלבד בכל הימים האחרונים.
