All the New Ways the Washington State Legislature Will Try to Disarm Its Citizens in 2023

Washington Gun Law President, William Kirk, discusses 3 new bills which dropped today on the State Legislature's pre-filing page. These three House Bills encompass many topics, but of interest is HB 1143 and HB 1144 which not only extends Washington's mandatory waiting periods, but also creates a first of its kind here in Washington, pre-purchasing licensing requirement. In addition to that, we also learn of HB 1130, a bill at the bequest of the Attorney General, which gives the Attorney General unfettered power to run just about any business out of business due to an expanded "public nuisance" law and newly created monetary penalties.
