The Speed Of Lies

Lies travel like wildfire. The hard part is, someone might truly believe what they're saying, or are spreading information that they don't know isn't true. I know I've been there. The rate at which information can change, it can be hard to keep up. So what do you do? How does one handle misinformation? Fake news? Do you let everything out there and trust people will wade through it? Censor everything? Use fact checkers? Who then gets to decide what is true and what is not?
