Sometimes getting your colicky baby to sleep can be frustrating. Calm your baby to sleep with the low sound of running bath water to block out other distracting sounds. Establish a special bonding routine of swaddling, talking with baby, and playing this comforting sound until baby falls asleep. The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommends setting the volume no louder than 50 decibels (about the sound level of a quiet dishwasher) and turning off the sound when baby falls asleep.
