Paul tells us in 1 Cor. 1:10, " I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment. " Throughout history, these words of Paul's have been misinterpreted, misunderstood, corrupted, and used for evil. So what does Paul mean by this statement. Should the visible church be united regardless of teachings and stances they take on biblical matters? Is there ever a time it is okay, or even a good thing, for the visible church to be divided?
