Washington State Proposes an Assault Weapon Ban for 2023

Washington Gun Law President, William Kirk, discusses the one piece of legislation that we all knew was coming this year, the Assault Weapon ban of 2023. These bills, SB 5193 and it companion House Bill 1180, is the 7th run at a ban of most, if not all, semi-automatic rifles. Once again, our Attorney General believes that by NOT banning the possession of these guns, it somehow magically transforms this bill into a Constitutional piece of legislation. It does not. So, while it is early, let's start to get our head around this and learn what all of this might mean to you, the lawful and responsible gun owner. Arm yourself with education today.
