Focus Rod Knock Exploration

This is a 07 Ford Focus with 135K miles. The Engine is the 2.0 DOHC Duratec. This Rod bearing failure happened because of me running the engine extremely low on oil (probably only had a quart or less in the pan). The idiot light on the dash never came on and I am not totally sure if it even works. Any way you look at it, it is my fault. I am probably going to try and band aid fix this while I look for a replacement engine.
