Dan Lorenzo of PATRIARCHS IN BLACK

I really can't express how grateful and excited I was to be able to speak with Dan Lorenzo of "Patriarchs in Black". Dan is a man of many talents but his love for music has allowed him to become one of New Jersey's most treasured musicians in metal. He is also Bobby Blitz of Overkill Favorite Guitarist. He formed Hades, Non Fiction, Vessel of Light, Cassius King, and now Patriarchs In Black, a joint venture with dummer Johnny Kelly of Type O Negative, Danzing, and Quiet Riot.

Both men joined together to create their latest album "Reach for the Scars" which featured a wide array of singers including Karl Agell of "Corrosion of Conformity" Jimmy Gnecco who has worked with Brian May, Slash, and etc. Dewey Bragg (Kill Devil Hill), Rob Traynor (Black Water Rising), John Kosco (Dropbox), Eric J. Morgan (A Pale Horse Named Death) and Dave Neabore (Dog Eat Dog) to name a few.

Dan was awesome and down right inspiring! I can't stress that enough of how down to earth and chill he was. We both have strong loves for music, history, and basketball. Even if he's a Knicks fan. # GO Nets!!! However, it's his commitment to being the best at what he loves that is inspires. He is committed to being a good husband and making great music. Those are goals we all should strive for. Listen in on how Dan developed his style, his friendship with Bobby Blitz of Overkill, his musical chemistry with Johnny Kelly, and much more.
