QUICK & EASY – Flavoured Bread - Apricot Tangerine
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rises within 1½ hour & Bake within an hour
INGREDIENTS
2 & ¼ cups of All Purpose Flour
1 cup of Luke warm Apricot & Tangerine Juice mix
1 table spoon Quick Rise yeast
1 & ¼ cup of butter room temperature (or margarine if you prefer)
1/3 teaspoon of salt (or A pinch of salt)
PREPARATION
Wet Ingredients – Yeast is activated before adding to the wet ingredients
Dissolve 1 table spoon quick rise yeast into 1 cup of warm apricot and tangerine juice. Cover and let the yeast begin to create bubbles. Within 5 – 10 minutes, add the yeast into your dry ingredients.
Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl add all the dry ingredients, 2 cups flour, 1/3 teaspoon salt, and 1 & ¼ cup butter. Use your fingers to get the butter mixed in with the flour and salt. It should feel a bit silky with the butter is completely melted through.
Form a whole in the middle of the flour, and pour the warm water mix into the middle. Use a fork to mix the wet and dry ingredients until it starts forming a dough.
Use your hands to knead the flour for 4-5 minutes, form in a disc and let it rest for 30 mins. It will double in size. On the counter, dust some flour and knead the dough again for 2-3 minutes (after the first 30 mins rise) and place into the bread pan to rise for 1 hour before baking.
Baking & Oven INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat at 350 degrees
Bake the bread at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
Let it cool down before slicing.
