Being dissatisfied with how water bottles invariably get destroyed, by the hard use that my kids put them through, I have settled on the 16oz Nalgene Bottle.  Whether they are taking them to school or backpacking through the back country, they preform great.  The bottles are nearly indestructible and come at a fair price.
