AIT owner, Raymond Dokpesi, reportedly arrested on rape allegations in the U.K.

The founder of DAAR Communications Limited, owners of AIT TV and Raypower radio, Chief Raymond Dokpesi, was reportedly arrested in London, U.K. on Sunday night on rape allegations.

People’s Gazatte reports that this was discovered by U.K. police sources on Monday, January 9.

Dokpesi was picked up at London Heathrow Airport as he touched down from a connecting flight via Frankfurt on Sunday evening. He has since been released by the police.

According to a London police source who spoke with People’s Gazatte, “On Sunday, January 8, a 71-year-old man was arrested at Heathrow Airport over suspicion of rape. The arrest relates to an allegation of rape in August.

The man has been bailed, pending further enquiries, to a date in early April. Enquiries into the circumstances continue.”
