County Board of Supervisors approve new homeless shelter amid community concerns

Passions ran high at Tuesday's Kern County Board of Supervisors meeting. Public discussion on the Tiney Oaks project took more than two hours and involved more than 20 members of the community from both sides of the debate. Ultimately, the Board of Supervisors voted to accept a construction bid for the site.
