Fascinating scene from the 2009 adaptation of Sherlock Holmes starring Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law. Even when it first came out I found it fascinating that the script centered so heavily around black magic, secret fraternities of ceremonial magicians somehow connected to the Egyptian mysteries and comprising of members from the captain of Scotland Yard to the highest members of parliament. Almost like they were drawing from real world history and conspiracy of the occult traditions of the elite.
