One of the reasons why I loved the Nintendo Entertainment System so much was its amazing library of games. It really was the right device with the right library at the right time. Fast forward 40 years this year, holy crap 1983 was 40 years ago, and you have the ability to play some of the best Nintendo games on an Xbox? That's right! We're going to show you 5 great NES games that you can now play on your Xbox Series S, Series X, One X, or One S.

Title: Cobra Triangle

Rare made so many amazing Nintendo games before they were acquired by Microsoft, and Cobra Triangle is one of them. While many consider it to be a boat version of RC Pro-Am, more on that in a moment, it is definitely much more than that. This is one game that many wish Rare would release a sequel to.

I have been involved in radio controlled cars and trucks almost as long as I've been into video games, so being able to play an RC car-related game on my NES was like heaven to me. Then they introduced a sequel which I also loved. One version I'm surprised is not on Rare Replay is Championship Pro-Am from the Sega Genesis.

I promise I'm not trying to just promote Rare Replay here, but there are so many great games from the NES on that disc. Battletoads, well released under Tradewest is actually from Rare. This classic arcade-style beat'em up introduced so many different gameplay mechanics and level types. And now, all these years later, it's still amazing and available through Rare Replay.

Kids today have no idea what it was like being a kid in the '80s. We'd get out of school, come home with nobody there, turn on the TV to the Disney Afternoon Cartoons, and maybe consider doing some homework. Maybe. The Disney Afternoon was made up of multiple cartoons that lasted 1 to 2 hours and had some of the greatest stories, animation, and fun for the day. They then made several Nintendo games, partnering with Capcom, and DuckTales was one of the greatest. This compilation also includes a number of other Disney Capcom games and it's a must-own.

These are just five games from the NES that are available on the Xbox, there are also games from the Super Nintendo and Nintendo 64 on the Xbox, and there are also Nintendo-released games available on PlayStation! What are some of your favorites? Let us know in the comments.
