Someone Tell Me This Scandal Is Not True!

Downtown San Diego has been quietly replacing EVERY sidewalk corner with these yellow boxes. Convinced everyone it's 'for the blind people' but they have made these sidewalks intraversable to all!
Here's the deal... Someone sold these yellow squares to the city planner and made $$$$
Now they are ripping up every sidewalk possible and placing these yellow squares.
Big problem is this... the way it was before it was ripped up was comfortably accessible to all walks and wheels of life.
The new curbs are a DEATHLY HAZARD compared to their old reliable corner sidewalk ramps.
There are countless UNFINISHED SIDEWALKS all over Downtown. They installed the yellow thing, then left the rest of the sidewalk a mess. the ramp is a mess too because of the extremely limited accessibility by wheels, and the random 6 inch curbs that will ultimately cause more injuries. What is up with this? Someone made that decision to spend millions$$ to make San Diego worse.
