The Vow of Tipperary by Thomas Osborne Davis

Only one more track to finish for the Return to Tipperary album.

I found this song while researching the famous Slievenamon poem. It doesn't seem to have been set to music before.

Thomas was writing some 40 years later, but was inspired by the ideas of this group. Key to his ideas was a making Irish the language of a united Ireland.

According to Wikipedia, Thomas was born in Cork and lived in Dublin and doesn't seem to have any association with Tipperary.
