Guns Aren’t Bad, People Are!

It’s time to have a talk about guns. This is not going to be a post about telling people are great or evil guns are. I want to have a level-headed, rational discussion about why guns aren’t the problem, people are.

Guns are just inanimate objects. They don’t have a will of their own. They can’t make decisions or take actions. That all falls on the person who is holding the firearm. They are tool and they are no more capable of doing harm than a knife or a hammer. It is the person who is wielding the tool that determines whether it will be used for good or for evil.

People are the problem, not guns. Individuals are capable of making their own choices and take their own actions. That’s what we need to focus on if we want to make a difference—changing people, not banning the tool.

So let’s have that talk about guns. Let’s talk about how they aren’t the problem, people are. Let’s talk about how we need to change people, not ban guns. Guns are just inanimate objects—it’s the person who is holding it that determine what will happen next.
