Unbroken Chain

As I was writing this tune, I felt like the meaning of this song is that there is an unbroken chain of responsibility that is being passed like a torch from one generation to the next. The songs repeats a similar tune over and over again over time. However, each time it repeats something changes slightly. Same background music, and the notes are similar, but it changes ever so slightly very time. History never repeats, but it rhymes.

We are but simple people standing on the shoulders of giants, descending from a long lineage of giants. Each of us, at some point of our lives, must reach out and grab the torch being held out for us. Accept it from the hands of your forbearers. Keep it burning. Try to make the flame brighter. Your children, grandchildren, and the rest of those you may never meet will regard you as a giant, too.
