Real economic investment is low in a "Ponzi economy" because returns cannot match the fictitious profits promised by the Ponzi scheme. Therefore, economic growth over the long run will be minimal, if not nonexistent. Since government bonds are a low-risk investment in a low-growth environment, their low yields will mirror their high prices. While interest-rate reduction and money printing have successfully risen asset prices, they have not — at least not yet — significantly boosted consumer prices.
