Understanding Vanity! “Why do the nations rage and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord and against his Anointed”. This quote is the beginning of a Psalm written many thousands of years ago. Mankind never really wants to acknowledge his vanity. The other problem is we have no idea of true vanity. In our current culture vanity has a very different definition than its ancient counterpart.
