THE CALL
A diligent hunter goes to extraordinary lengths to deceive his quarry. He prepares mentally and physically. He practices until his weapon is an extension of himself. He studies the animals and the environment in which they live. Each species has its own strengths, weaknesses, and unique habits. The hunter’s objective is to be undetectable and kill efficiently.

One of the most effective ways to attract game is through vocal communication. Ideally, a hunter delivers a call mimicking the sound of his quarry’s mate, adversary, or a predator’s preferred food source, and the animal is lured into striking distance. However, the oldest and wisest are often difficult to persuade. They’ve learned from past mistakes.

In today’s modern society we too are tempted and called to in countless ways. Much of what is put before us is a trap, a decoy, or a poison. Like the game we hunt, identifying Truth versus an imposter is a matter of life and death.
