Volkswagen Crafter Starting issue when warm solved

This 2011 Volkswagen Crafter 2.0 had a starting issue initially very randomly and became worse to the point that it wouldn't start for 30 attempts or so when we stopped to fuel or deliver a motorbike.
We got a tip from a VW tech expert and it cured the fault immediately.
