Kirkland Air Force Base, Albuquerque, New Mexico protects many weapons.

Kirtland Air Force Base is the largest installation in Air Force Global Strike Command and sixth largest in the United States Air Force. It is named after Roy Kirkland who flew a "Wright B" in 1912 loaded for the first time with a machine gun. This base is also where James "Jimmy" Stewart was commissioned as a 2nd Lt. on January 18, 1942, he was a bombardier trainer and had a glorious military career. Jimmy Stewart was Promoted to Colonel and Chief of Staff.
