Submission to God's Will Arrogantly Planning without God

This week James addresses the congregation to never plan or try to predict the outcome of an event or circumstance in your own understanding. Further, he says if you are planning without God leading your path and boast about it, it is evil and sinful in nature. James is not saying a Christian business owner cannot make a profit, or cannot plan for the future, he is saying that God needs to be heavily involved. We should take every petition to God and ask for all things. James reminds us that we are all just a mist that is here one minute gone the next. But, God is here forever and when we receive Jesus as Lord and Savior, we will also live for eternity.
