[Hydraulics Explained] How Automatic Transmission Fluid Works With Valve Body: PART 3

Watch this 3D animation to learn how the valve body works in an automatic transmission. This model has been modified to a degree and detracts from any manufactured valve body. However the overall concepts are still the same and will work with practical application.

This animation will include most of the systems of the valve body: the three main body components, solenoids, shift valves, a check ball, and an oil pump.

We will see the operation of the transmission as it shifts gears and applies clutches. We go over the hydraulic circuit the transmission fluid takes when selecting each gear.

This is an engineering concept that has been overly simplified so that any beginner can learn how the valve body works in an automatic transmission.
