In Memory of Kenneth McNeel
Kenneth Gault McNeel saw elementals and angels. He was a natural as a model, ice skater, actor and stuntman. Kenneth was always full of funny stories from his adventurous youth, recounting tales of his exploits in film as a stuntman and extra work in the early days of Hollywood. He worked in international print modeling, he was one of the original Marlboro men. Kenneth is best known for that famous photo of him kissing a nurse in Times Square that became symbolic for depicting the end of World War II.
Born March 9th, 1923 in Santa Barbara, California Kenneth made his transition in beloved Mt. Shasta, August 14th, 2009. Ever the showman, he exited the stage 64 years to the day after Eisenstaedt took that famous photo of him in Times Square. I will miss you my friend....
