As the Escanaba & Lake Superior Railroad passed by with ELS 502 (SD40) and ELS 402 (GP38) pulling a few cars you could see lots of smoke (steam) rising behind the log car, and a couple others.. A slight high pitch squeal could also be heard, as if brakes were locked somewhere. I tried to catch up but fallen power lines across a road blocked my way, I had to go a different way but managed to catch the locomotives after they detached from the train...
