This is how to test ARC Fault breakers in your electrical panel
To test an arc fault circuit breaker, you can use a circuit breaker tester or a multimeter. First, turn off the power to the circuit by flipping the corresponding switch or circuit breaker in your electrical panel. Next, use the tester or multimeter to check for continuity across the breaker's terminals. If the tester or multimeter indicates that there is continuity, the breaker is functioning properly. If there is no continuity, the breaker may be tripped or malfunctioning and should be replaced.
It is also important to note that some Arc Fault Circuit Breakers(AFCIs) have self-test feature, which can be activated by pressing the test button. This will simulate an arc fault and cause the breaker to trip, indicating that the breaker is working properly.
