After being accepted to a Master’s program in April 2003, Trent was excited to begin a new chapter and further his education. But as we all know, life has a funny way of getting in the way. Fast forward a month and his life would never be the same, as he went for a doctor's appointment and found out he had cancer.

After two years of doctor appointments, struggles and life reflections, he was able to find the perfect match for a stem cell transplant and be declared cancer free. But, instead of seizing life by the horns and living every day to the fullest, he picked up right where he left off.
