When I was a kid they made auto insurance required. The idea was rates would go down because you would no longer have to pay for all those uninsured motorists hitting insured drivers in your rates. Rates immediately tripled. So the ACA did the same thing. My rates more than tripled and the deductible went up and doctor and insurance choices went down.
