Pistol Grip Shotgun - How to Shoot

Professor Paul Markel, a nationally renowned Small Arms & Tactics Instructor, takes a few moments to explain how to properly employ a pistol grip shotgun. This technique will work regardless of whether the gun has a traditional pistol grip or the “bird head” style grip that has become popular once more.

The shotgun featured in that tutorial is a Mossberg Model 500A with an 18 inch Mossberg aftermarket barrel that features their unique “standoff” muzzle device. The gun was finished in with a Duracoat “Slightly Darker Black” coating. The bird head grip was added as was an OpSol short shell adapter to facilitate the use of “shorty” 12 gauge shotgun shells.
