THE BEST & WORST SWITCH N64 ONLINE CONTROLLERS!

Since the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack was released, there have been many options for controllers to use when playing these classics. Some are better than others, and we're going to cover 5 of the Worst and Best Controllers to use with the N64 Switch Online Service.

Nintendo Switch Joy-Cons/Joy-Con Grip
How the Switch shipped with such terrible controls I'll never understand, but the Joy-Cons are bad for just about every game. Trying to use these in the Joy-Con Grip to make a pseudo-Pro Controller is terrible for so many reasons. From the small analog sticks, small buttons, and poor layout, there are so many things to dislike about the Joy-Cons for any game.

Nintendo Switch NSO N64 Controller
I was excited when I learned this was in the works, then Nintendo couldn't get them produced. They still have a hard time meeting demand, selling out minutes after going live on Nintendo's site. It wouldn't be so bad if the analog stick was better, and in my mind, that ruins the experience with this controller. Don't pay scalper's pricing, and to be honest, I wouldn't buy this at all.

Retro-bit Wireless Tribute64
Unlike the first two entries, this is a really GOOD controller. A refinement of their wired Tribute64 designed for the original Nintendo 64, it is loosely inspired by the Hori N64 Gamepad. The wireless version has a wider grip than the wireless version, making it much more comfortable. The button layout matches the N64's trident controller perfectly, and this is a wonderful controller to use.

Nintendo Switch Pro Controller
I know many don't like the Switch Pro Controller for N64 games, but I don't mind it. I've always found the Switch Pro Controller to be comfortable, ergonomic, responsive, and overall a great controller. Sure, it's not laid out quite like the original and does take some adjustment, but it's still a great performer and a controller I love.

Retro Fighters Brawler64 Wireless and Brawler64 NSO BT Edition
What more needs to be said about the finest N64 controller for any application on the market? It has great ergonomics, responsive sticks, and buttons, some can be used with both USB dongles and the N64, and the NSO BT Edition adds even more features. This is simply the finest execution of an N64 controller and what all others, including Nintendo, strive to be!
