Flying over the Quicksilver Terlingua Mining District in the Desert with the DJI #Avata FPV Drone

We were out flying our drones near Terlingua, Texas, when we spotted this roadside info sign about the Quicksilver (Mercury) mines in the area. The Terlingua Mining District played a big part in World War II because they supplied the Mercury used in the shells used by the military. We'll be posting a couple more videos later for the Whit-Roy and Buena Suerte Mines that we found inside the Big Bend Ranch State Park, so be sure to check for those once we get the time to edit the footage.
