Realistic Prepping: Avoid the Fear Mongering and BS

BS and fear-mongering are part of the preparedness community. Telling people that the "end is near" is a tactic morally bankrupt people have been using for thousands of years. Fear motivates. Fear Sells. And fear does that because it's part of the fight or flight response, which is what the doomsday sellers hope for. The doom and gloom of the "end is near" is meant to get you, me, and everyone else to act emotionally rather than rationally. That's why it's essential to pay attention to people who constantly say the end is upon us. Whether it's a YouTube Channel, blog, or anything else preparedness related, if they do it over and over again, that's all they have. Drive people into a fear response so the fear monger can grab your money and limited time. Don't give in to fear and the BS! While times are hard and things are off-kilter, the end of the world hasn't happened, society hasn't melted down, and we're still here in spite of all the doom others predict!
