The US Will Ban Bitcoin and Crypto?!?!

Why would the the US Government allow competitors like Bitcoin to remain legal once they launch their CDBC?

The United States is massively in debt. Massively. What's the best way to get rid of it? Dissolve the US dollar and switch, overnight, to a CDBC. All the debt denominated in US dollars? Gone. There will be lots of winners and losers if that happens, but one loser has got to be the crypto-currencies. Why would they allow any competition to their own digital coin? I think not. Do you think you can get around it? No way. Big Tech, the NSA, they know how to identify that internet traffic. They'll either shut it down or track it down. Either way, your crypto wallet will be rendered useless overnight.

How am I wrong on this? Why isn't anyone else talking about it? It seems so obvious to me.
