Video: Policemen and military officers clash in Ijaya, Lagos

There was tension in Ijaya, Apongbo area of Lagos, as policemen and soldiers clashed.

It is reported that the intense confrontation happened on Wednesday morning, January 18, 2023.

However, it is unclear what led to the confrontation but from the video which has surfaced online, the military officer can be seen trying to disarm the police officer who responds with light punches. Eyewitnesses can be heard urging for the scene to be recorded as evidence.

The policemen subsequently freed themselves after spraying teargas.
