Vernon Search and Rescue operation

Early Saturday afternoon Vernon Search and Rescue (VSAR) volunteers were called to assist in locating and transporting an injured person from the backcountry in the Greater Vernon area.

One injured person accompanied by VSAR was transported by rescue helicopter to Vernon Regional Airport.

Once there the patient was loaded on a stretcher and into a waiting ambulance.
