Some items we don't want to get wet on our adventures...  Rather than a waterproof / resistant case for each individual item, it is nice to have a bag to throw stuff in.  The DAKA Pouch by Magpul is a great solution.  While not made for submersion, it will take most any rain event or accidental dip in the river and keep your stuff dry.
